The Bay Silver occurrence area is located 5 kilometres north of Stewart and lies along the ridge and lower slopes on the west side of the Bear River Valley, east of the United States-Canada border.

The showing is underlain by intermediate volcanic rocks (andesite) of the Lower Jurassic Unuk River Formation (Hazelton Group). The contact with quartz monzonite of the Eocene Coast Plutonic Complex lies 1 kilometre to the south.

A grab rock sample (BV-28) taken from quartz-carbonate stockwork veins hosted in intermediate volcanics and mineralized with spotty pyrite and 1-2 per cent coarse arsenopyrite assayed 1.24 grams per tonne gold and 2.1 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 32185). The sample was from Area #1 of the larger Bay Silver property.

In 2010, Teuton Resources Corp. conducted a rock sampling program on the Bay Silver property.
